As followers of Jesus Christ, we believe we are members of his body and thus ought to love one another.
“Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.” 1 John 4:7
From this shared faith flows our purpose and values.
BeLoved Care is dedicated to supporting and empowering the Reformed community in providing Christ-centred, holistic care to our aged and infirm through home-care or a Christian care-home, until our heavenly Father calls them to their eternal home.
We believe that the Word of God, contained in the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament, is the inspired and authoritative Word of God and is to be the rule of faith and life. Rooted in the Reformed Tradition, our organization stands upon this foundation, from which flow BeLoved Care’s values and practices.
We affirm that all human beings are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27). Every individual, regardless of age or infirmity, possesses inherent dignity and worth, and deserves to be treated with love, respect, and honor as image-bearers of our Creator.
*Genesis 1:26-27: Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness….” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
God created humanity as male and female (Genesis 2:18-25). We believe that gender is a fixed, God-given reality and that human flourishing is found in embracing this divine design.
*Genesis 2:18-24: Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”…the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
We uphold marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman, instituted by God (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Marriage is the foundational relationship that nurtures the family and reflects God’s covenantal love.
*Genesis 2:24: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
*Matthew 19:4-6: “He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”
Scripture teaches that we are called to care for our loved ones, particularly in times of aging or infirmity (Exodus 20:12, 1 Timothy 5:8). While the family bears the primary responsibility for caregiving, this duty is shared by the wider Christian community—the communion of saints (Galatians 6:10). Together, we are called to support, encourage, and care for one another, reflecting Christ’s love in our actions.
*Exodus 20:12: “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.”
*1 Timothy 5:8: But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
*Galatians 6:10: So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
We honor the commandment, “You shall not murder” (Exodus 20:13), and affirm the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. We are committed to protecting and preserving life, ensuring our care respects and upholds the value of life at all stages.
*Exodus 20:13: “You shall not murder.”
Humans are created as whole persons—body, mind, and spirit. We commit to providing care that nurtures the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of each resident, with a focus on holistic health and wholeness (Matthew 22:37-39).
*Matthew 22:37-39: And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
We provide care that reflects the love, compassion, and wisdom of Christ. Our home is a place of Christian worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth, where residents can experience the comfort of God’s presence and the support of a Christ-centered community (Hebrews 10:24-25).
*Hebrews 10:24-25: And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
“And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
